Use Find Command (⇧⌘P) to search for a tool by name, including commands without a keyboard shortcut. The tables below list the current command names and shortcuts. A dash means the command is available through a menu or Find Command.
On a Mac, ⌘ means Command, ⇧ means Shift, and ⌥ means Option. Menu items also display their current shortcuts. Find Media (⌘F) searches your media browser.

Timeline tools
Press A for Selection, T for Trim, R for Range Selection, or B for Blade. With the timeline focused, Delete ripple-deletes the selection; Shift-Delete replaces it with a gap. Blade at Playhead uses ⌘B.
Focus matters
The focused panel determines which viewer receives navigation. Browser focus routes In, Out, playback, arrows, and J/K/L to the source. Timeline focus routes them to the sequence. Viewer and inspector focus follow the viewer named in its header. Q, W, E, and D connect, insert, append, and overwrite the selected source into the sequence.
Letter shortcuts remain normal text input inside a text field. Undo (⌘Z) and Redo (⇧⌘Z) apply to the focused text editor while you type. Finish typing and focus the timeline before undoing a timeline edit.
Command search supports arrow-key navigation, Return to run, and Escape to close. Enable macOS Keyboard Navigation to reach controls with Tab. Use the online workspace guide to understand each panel and selection and targets to choose what an edit affects.
